a few people have asked about the wii tournaments i’ll be hosting at bull mccabe’s. here are the details:

PLACE: Bull McCabe’s Irish Pub
427 West Main Street
Durham, NC 27701

TIME: Sundays, 9 PM , starting THIS SUNDAY, May 4th. Note that once the tournament starts, we can’t add players, so be on time.

THE DEAL: The tournaments will be Swiss system tournaments, with each pair playing a different game on the Wii Sports disk. The Tournament won’t use golf, due to time constraints, and we’re not sure about boxing just yet. Tennis will be a 3 game match. Baseball will be 3 innings, and bowling will be 3 frames. The pairings and final rankings will be managed by tournament software. You can bring your own wii remote if you want, but please try to get there early if you do, so we can get it registered to the console.

THE PRIZES: I believe these will be the same as trivia night (50 bucks for first, 25 bucks for second) but this may change. UPDATE: The prizes will be 25 bucks for first and either 15 or 10 for second…sorry to get anyone excited.
