this weekend has been pretty action packed. friday, after getting out of work, i went to corey’s house and met up with corey and her friend janna who was down from richmond. then another friend, esther, came by to pick us up to go to goldsboro to see amanda. admittedly, i wasn’t stoked about the trip, because i was thinking we were staying in raleigh that night, and the thought of driving to goldsboro didn’t exactly thrill me because i was so tired. turns out things went really well. janna let me drive, which helped keep me awake, and then once we were at amanda’s things were great. just a really nice crew of people to hang out with, really vivacious and excellent storytellers. of course, the beer and wine didn’t hurt.

saturday, we drove back to raleigh for a bit, (have no fear, my dogs were well cared for by the super awesome people at love’m and leave’m) and then came to durham where janna met my dogs and saw my house and saw some of durham where i’m hoping to buy a house once i get mine sold. then we went to raleigh again for dollar sushi and pigged out. then we went to see grizzly man at the rialto.

today i woke up and drove back to durham, took care of the mutts, then went back and met up with corey, janna, robin, esther, and ed; who were all running in a 5 K race. i opted to be the bag bitch, and diligently watch over the t-shirts and swag that you get when you run these races.

everybody did really well at the race, and everyone said how it kind of kicked them in the butt. i was really proud of them. they all did way better than i could have.

after the race, janna had to get a move on, and ed had something else going on, so while esther drove him home, corey robin and i went to the flying saucer to get some food and some beers. esther came back for us after a little while, and erik, robin’s husband showed up for a little bit as well.

overall just a really great weekend of hanging out with awesome people having a really good time.
