dc sucks
brian and i have just arrived and checked into our hotel in dc.
dc has about the most bass ackward road system ever. if you can avoid driving in the city, i encourage this at all costs.

cabbie told me once the roads are all weird like that to keep the bad guys with their wagons and muskets from raiding the president’s crib….or something….

hmm. i suppose that’s possible…but it seems like the roads are actually there, they just shut parts of them down because they run to close to monuments, museums, etc.
hooray for increased national securtiy.
