yes it’s true. i’m piggybacking off of someone elses wireless connection at my new house right now. this makes me wonder if i had the cable connected a little too soon. granted, it’s a pretty weak signal, but it seems to be doing the trick for now. and isn’t that what’s important?
thanks for all of you who wrote me about my dogs. it’s been a tough few days really, but it’s also been a little relieving knowing that with everything going on, i haven’t had to be worrying about taking care of them. i’m not sure how often the durham aps updates their website, but when lucy and earl show up as adoptable, i’ll let you know so you can steer your friends and family in the market for some really awesome dogs know where they are.
i had an investment realtor come and look at the house today. he seemed pretty impressed with how little extra work there would be in taking over my house. i’ve still got other potential buyers looking at it, but that was some pretty reassuring news. of course, if you or anyone you know wants to buy my fat pad, shoot me an email.
lucy and earl,
i’m really sorry. thanks for being the best friends i could have asked for. i know someone who will be way better for you than me will adopt you. i can never forget you.
some potential home buyers are coming on monday afternoon. that means i’ve got to get my butt in gear at getting this place cleaned up. my goal is going to be to get rid of a lot of stuff, and move all the furniture to the garage. the house is already starting to look pretty empty, or at least full of just boxes for moving.
things that disappeared today: lots of computer stuff, my bass and amps, and my coffee table.
after dropping off the table i had dinner at elmo’s…good stuff, and i felt like i deserved it for all my hard work lately.
i’m so ready for all of this to just be over.
one man stands to make things right. ok. he’s not so much a man as a monkey. but he rides rodeo on a dog. and that just makes everything better.
much love to trey for the link. ride on you quiet pterodactyl you…
in my new house:
all my cd’s
all my books
my stereo and record player
gone away to other peeps:
my bed
my dvd player
already claimed but not yet gone:
coffee table
computers
you still have time to get in on some fabulous stuff. act now for best selection!
since march is national women’s history month, tomorrow night’s round 2 will be all about women’s history. how terribly original.
you can read chaucer’s blog. complete with Q&A. funny. for about 3 seconds. then you realize how much of a total goober you are for reading a fake chaucer site and go check on your NCAA brackets.
also, if you were thinking about going to see v for vendetta, don’t. you know it’s bad when the guy who wrote the original graphic novel wants his name taken off of the credits. yes, i’ve seen it. yes, it was that bad.
so my new room is bigger than i thought it would be. it’s a 10X12 room. let’s do some basic math.
my current house is about 1700 square feet. i’m moving into approximately 120 square feet.
that means that i have to rid myself of about 93 % of my shit.
seriously. free furniture at my house. what do you need? i probably got it. need a toaster or other small appliance? i got that too. all at low low prices, maybe even free.
you need a queen sized sleighbed? done.
a low long couch? i got it.
a tv? dvd player? vcr? coffee table?
i got bookcases. i got desks.
you ask for it, it’s yours. no reasonable offer (or unreasonable offers for that matter) will be refused. all you gotta do is come and pick it up.
if you go anywhere else, you will pay too much.
