i have no skills on the drums or piano.
this is pretty awesome…mad props to brian for passing it along….

tomorrow night’s round two will be about holidays. i think i may have done this topic once before, but i can’t remember. could be interesting.
there’s a little thread over on the roaster’s guild bb right now wondering what has happened to me since i bowed out of using the public board. it’s kind of funny. i could take some time here and come down from the mountain and explain why i left…but i’m really enjoying the speculation and reasoning of some of the roasting brethren. maybe i’ll follow this thread a little more closely.
my first article for roast magazine is away, pending any more edits the slavedriver of an editor asks of me. it’s been a fun project so far. we’ll see if people are into it.
the boardgame bug bit me a little over the past few days and i picked up some new stuff cheap. also spent a good chunk of an evening catching up with snoop. good stuff.
in the time honored tradition, i present my 2006 wish list:
-donations in my name to coffee kids, grounds for health (via justgive.org) , or heifer international are super nice and much appreciated by myself and the recipients. (it’s like 2 gifts in one!)
-i’ve updated my amazon wish list, just over there, to your right…
-a few games make the list: qjet, oltre mare, ca$h’n gun$, thurn and taxis, carcassonne: the discovery, and mission: red planet
not that anyone will notice because of my sever lack of updates as of late, but i’ll be offline for the next few days chilling out with the fam. i’ll check email as i can, but i won’t be going super crazy about it.
in the meantime, check out the mix and match project if you haven’t already.
also, take a look at these, and tell me which one of me you like best…
hope you all have a happy gobble gobble and whatnot.
getting ready to eat some veggie dogs after catching up on some work over at the mix and match project. enjoy.
tomorrow night will mark the return of the audio round, with 10 samples from hip hop songs… get inside seats if possible, because i don’t know how good the clues will sound outside, which means i may not run it outside at all.
my first article for roast magazine is away. it was a lot of fun writing it, and i’m hoping people dig it. i did get a note from shanna saying that i need more pictures for the article, so if anyone knows someone with some digital camera skillz, and doesn’t mind working for cheap as free, hook me up. you’ll get full photo credit and jank.
finally broke down and played a game i bought a few weeks ago. it was quite the stomping on poor kate…but i think she’s probably going to kick my ass the next time.
carissa and i went to see stranger than fiction yesterday. better than i expected, but i’m wondering if the will farrell fans are going to be disappointed. he doesn’t go apeshit crazy or anything, and you really start to empathize with his character. and plus…maggie gyllenhall is pure hotness.
haven’t sorted out my new picks for mix and match yet, hoping i can take care of that tonight, after some LOAF action.
no trivia night topic just yet, but a quick announcment that we will NOT be doing trivia on the wednesday before turkey day, november 22nd.
time for work.
ok. first off, i checked some of the answers to the most populated state capitals against wikipedia. there were several discrepancies, leading me to think that my source material was probably not the 2000 census as i stated, but rather the 1990 census. unfortunately, i can’t find where i found that list, it’s probably somewhere in my trivia library, but i can’t readily find it. needless to say, my bad. every now and then, mistakes are made, but thanks to the ever loving rule number 8 (all decisions of the judge are final) i can still continue my rule with an iron fist.
apologies to anyone who actually gives a shit, mad props to those who were playing along who brought this to my attention. and no, i’m not changing scores, giving more prizes, or anything like that.
tomorrow night’s topic will be US presidents, in honor of today’s non-presidential election day.
tommy sends along a nice veritable how-to of the modern rock star life. complete with do’s, don’ts, and inside thoughts on how to decide who in your band will play what instrument:
Look at your band mates.
If you see one that doesn’t look able to write his own name then you have a bass player.
If you see one without a job that is drunk you probably have a drummer.
If you see one staring in a mirror or striking a pose you have a singer on your hands.
That leaves two guitar players, or two brain cells, to complain how they can do it better.
