so today was the first chance i had to actually try to use the gene cafe roaster.  i got one roast out of it.  more to the point, i wanted to get more roasts out of it, but it stopped working.  the drum wouldn’t turn at all.

sweet maria’s and the manufacturer have been contacted…we’ll see how this gets resolved.  needless to say, i’m pissed.

so the roaster is set to arrive tomorrow. according to UPS,it’s in west columbia, sc.  it’ll be good to be roasting again. 

in other revamp projects, i’m  beginning more work on a new collaborative playlist dealio…similar to mix and match, but a little different as well.  i’m pulling in some of the old crew, and i may try to drag in a little fresh blood as well.  so far no date has been set for a relaunch.

for some reason it felt like friday when i woke up, and upon discovering that it wasn’t i was sorely disappointed.  thankfully, the roomies and i have planned some thai cafe action later tonight, so that should help.

in honor of president’s day, this wednesday night’s round two will be all about vice presidents.
