trying to help out miss south carolina a bit

with a nod to the admir0l
something has infected my intestinal tract and is potentially trying to eat its way back into the light. unfortunately, this is causing some rather unpleasant (and at times painful) side effects. as it stands right now, i’m mobile and fully expecting to make it to trivia tonight. if this changes and the bugger has left me with my fingers, i’ll update the blog.
you should be seeing a city beverage newsletter (if you are subscribed to it…if not, you can go here to do so) with this info, but if you just can’t wait, tonight’s round 2 will be mixed drinks…of an alcoholic variety.
thank god for youtube. i haven’t been following flight of the conchords mainly because i don’t buy any premium channels…especially not for just one show. but youtube is flush with tons of great clips. like this one:
there’s no way she isn’t smarter than miss teen south carolina:
i need a new phone. i’m up for n equipment upgrade in november, and i’m starting to look around now to see what i can do.
i have a palm t|x pda that i really like, but i’m starting to see the advantages of consolidating devices (phone, camera, mp3 player, organizer). so…here’s the list of things that i would like on the phone in order of priority:
yes, the stupid freaking iphone does it all. but i don’t WANT an iphone.
so help me out….
how freaking sad is it that they now make bulletproof backpacks for kids? seriously, if you think your kid needs one of these, look into homeschooling.
for those of you that don’t get the city bev newsletter, tonight’s topic will be univerisity mascots. an important foot note to those of you that read this over getting the newsletter is that i’m looking for the name of the actual mascot, not just the nickname.
For example, if i were to give the clue “Ramses”, the correct answer would be UNC-CH.
Also, i’m thinking of a few minor adjustments to the rules:
1. You can’t play without an answer form.
2. Do not shout out the answer.
3. Do not use any outside resources (books, computers, cell phones, etc).
4. One team per table of no more than 6 players.
5. Ties will be broken by the highest score in the third round, then second round, then first round. If somehow all scores are equal, a tie breaking round will be played.
6. All decisions of the judge are final.
Anybody have any issues with those?
